Cold Steel Espada |
 |
 |
The Cold Steel Espada is yet another example of the daring and adventurous spirit that thrives at Cold Steel. Freedom of design and creativity have brought together a knife with such personality and style as to be uncontested by other production knives. The size and sweep of this knife are of the kind found only at Cold Steel and the look of it draws stares. Built from a frame of 7075 polished aluminum, the Espada is not short on flash. The polished G-10 scales are snugly fitted to the frame and offset the gleam of the aluminum with their handsome black profiles. The blade, made from AUS8a is substantial and intimidating. At 5.5" and wickedly swept to a fearsome point, this knife will slash, pierce and cut like a laser. Based on the Navaja design, the Espada comes in three sizes with the largest being of such an amazing size it stands out even among Cold Steel knives. This knife incorporates the Tri-Ad locking system which has been proven in video demonstration to support a jaw dropping 601 lbs from its handle without the lock failing. A unique thumb ramp functions as both a manual thumb stud as well as a quick draw opening system. The handle is pistol gripped with a sub hilt. This knife has no peer. Very few companies would dare to produce such a large, heavy, exciting, audacious, wickedly stylish knife as the Espada; but Cold Steel has consistently committed to producing knives that are daring and desirable over what would be considered "safe". This knife will make the rest of your collection look boring in comparison. |
